Instruction

The Academy

One weekend. Twelve people. He has done this every year since 2004 and he is not sure why.

What you get

Two days, and you are there for both

You will be in a room with the number one ramp guitar player in the world. Whatever you were expecting to happen in that room is between you and yourself.

He will not demonstrate. People sign up hoping he will demonstrate. It says on the form that he will not demonstrate. Every year somebody asks on Saturday morning and every year there is a period after that.

What he will do is talk about it. He talks about it for two days. Alumni have described this as the most important weekend of their lives and have not been able to say what happened.

Rules of the room

  • No recording. Two guys tried. It is a whole thing now.
  • No questions about Ed.
  • Do not bring an amp. He will ask why you brought an amp.
  • If you are here to get better at regular guitar, there is a guy in Dayton and he is fine.

Tuition

Cash or check, no refunds, one exception in 2009 that will not happen again

Weekend intensive$400. Twelve seats. Ten of them go to people who came last year.
Second year$400. It is the same weekend. People come back anyway and he has stopped bringing it up.
PrivateNot offered. Was offered once. Was offered to Curtis Bream Jr. and that is the last we are going to say about it.

Where they are now

I do not play anymore. That is not a bad thing. I want to be clear it is not a bad thing.
